I don’t know how long my kids had been begging to do a lemonade stand, but let’s just say it had been long enough that I simply could not put them off any longer. We decided to hold it on Memorial Day, and it was quite a success, I’d say. The kids did all of the work squeezing lemons, making posters, and serving customers, and we just helped as needed. I think they made around $24.00. Not bad! That included a few dollars of generous tips from grandparents and kind neighbors, though. :) Grammy and Papa were sweet enough to drive all the way over for a taste of “Papa’s Lemonade.” They really shouldn’t have to pay to drink lemonade made with their own lemons!
