A Change in Plans

Right now I was supposed to be here:
Alpine, AZ, the most beautiful place in the world.

Unfortunately, our car had other plans; namely, going into the repair shop to get the a/c fixed. Luckily we were only 5 minutes into our journey last night when the a/c quit and we decided it would be a miserable trip without it so we turned around and went home.

So we're crossing our fingers that the mechanics will be able to fix it today and we can be on our way again tonight. But in the meantime, I'm seeing some advantages to this. I spent this whole week running around like mad trying to get everything ready for the trip. Now here I am at home with the shopping done, house cleaned, bags packed, bills paid, hampers empty, baby napping (or did I just hear a cry...), and kids happily watching a movie. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can catch up on some blogging!

Ya our AC going out is what started our whole adventure in car repairs-not fun! Hoping my van is ready today for me to head up to the mountains in the morning XXXXXX

Yes! That must be why the A/C stopped! You were meant to stay home and blog (FOR ME!). I am dying to see some more pictures of little Wren at 3 months! And wanting to know what you guys are up too!

But in the meanwhile, I hope you guys do get to go. James and I had a sad moment last night missing you guys and Alpine.

Love you!
Tara

Be grateful you ac went out only 5 minutes into the trip, we are in Mexico not going home until Monday and the ac went out today..... not going to be a fun trip back home. I love Alpine though, my sisters are in Eagar right now and I miss it. Hope you get it fixed and get on the road soon.

Not fun to do a road trip without A/C. I would have made the same choice. Good luck with getting it fixed and on your way.

Ugh! But like you said at least it happened early on in the trip.

Sorry about your car trouble. That is a big bummer, especially when you have everything ready to go. To be honest, though, I almost didn't get to the part about your car because I was stuck on your first line. You DEFINITELY need to travel more!

So, how did it turn out? Did you get that AC fixed. Miserable, indeed, to go without it! I hope you made it up to the cabin anyway.
