Disneyland (short version)

Our family was able to spend 3 days at Disneyland/California Adventure at the beginning of December. It was our first time going as a family, so it was especially exciting. Knowing that this is not something we will do very often, we wanted to make the very most of it, so we did some research and chose a time that is typically less busy. It meant taking the kids out of school for a few days, but I think it was well worth it. Even when we got the "your child is ___ absences away from being a truant" letter from the school. :/

There are so many stories I could tell…Rilla’s reaction to the characters, Hite and Elly’s Jedi Training, Wren stealing the hearts of Tinkerbell and Mary Poppins…. Trying to tell about the whole trip in words would be nearly impossible, not to mention unbearably long, so I suppose pictures will have to do. I've also asked everyone to say what their favorite or most memorable part was. Suffice it to say, Disneyland really was everything we hoped it would be. We can’t wait to go again!

Elly: I liked all the big huge roller coasters.

Hite: I liked when I went on Tower of Terror. It was my favorite ride.

Rilla: Going on Mickey’s Fun Wheel. (aka Mickey’s Wheel of Death, the ride everyone else was terrified on!)

Wren: I loved it when Mary Poppins stopped to talk to me!

Melody: I loved the Christmas version of “It’s a Small World” and the World of Color show at California Adventure.

Matt: I liked listening to Hite and Elly scream like little girls on Thunder Mountain. I also liked watching Rilla wave to the princesses during the Princess Ball.
